March 12 2021 I’m excited to share the first single from my upcoming album 💿 “SONIC APOTHECARY” (Full Album out 26th March) The ethos and my thought process behind the album was born from a desire to start looking inward more, and self medicating myself through my music (playing the piano is also a way for me to meditate, You have these harmonies of calming frequencies of sound combined with the nature that I suddenly hear outside... It’s such a grounding, soothing, therapeutic feeling which helps me feel in flow) It started with my Mindful Piano playlist but I decided to dive deeper into the subject after friends and family told me that my music was a great balm to either their teething babies, feelings of isolation, stimulating creativity, meditation/yoga, running, biking, martial arts, coping with anxiety and even inducing deep sleep (Full 💿 drops March 26) To learn about the effect of music on physical well-being, I contacted some of the world's leading experts on sleep, mental health and stress to educate myself into how I can use my music to musically-medicate people. Ultimately, I invited some of these experts to help me along this journey. I created today's soundbath, a multi-layered wall of sound overlaid with prepared piano, to block out the distress and uncertainty of this pandemic. I used the piano strings to evoke an imaginary Zen harp - John Cage style not just as an instrument with keys and pedals, but a 360 degree source of sound and sensation. Enjoy and stay sane. This breathwork healing ritual evolves around the calming &amp; harmonic tones of the steel wire piano strings, cellos, and singing bowl. Try to do this 5-minute ritual for a window of calm 1. LIE or SIT DOWN (choose your position of meditation, get comfortable, your choice) 2. BE STILL (Relax the body, Close your eyes, gaze inwards) 3. BREATH (IN) from the base of your spine to crown of your head. Then (long EXHALE) from the crown, back to the base - Do a few rounds then release the breath and just observe. 4.IMMERSE yourself into the sound🙏 Sound and Music can positively impact health outcomes, catalyse mental and physiological change and has been found to impact a broad array of mental and physical conditions.
